Broken capillaries, also called telangiectasias, are small visible blood vessels, often on the nose, cheeks and chin. Spider veins are small red, purple or blue veins on the legs that can look like branches or webs.
They are common and usually harmless. Sun damage, rosacea, genetics, pregnancy, hormones and standing for long periods can all play a role.
Offered at all of our offices.
Treated vessels can recur, but new ones can form over time. Some people come back for touch-ups.
Spider veins are usually cosmetic. Large, bulging or painful veins, or leg swelling, may need a vein specialist, and we can refer you.
