Karen Chen is a licensed and board-certified physician assistant specializing in dermatology. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Arcadia University and her Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 



Karen is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member of the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants (IAPA) and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA).

Her clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of medical and surgical dermatology, including the early detection of skin cancers, prescribing and monitoring complex medications such as biologics and isotretinoin, and performing procedures ranging from extractions to excisions.

Karen believes that great care starts with collaboration. Whether you're coming in for a routine skin examination, managing a chronic condition like psoriasis or eczema, or exploring treatment options for acne, her goal is to make sure you feel informed and confident of your care plan.
