Dustin Marks, MD, FAAD

About Dr. Marks.

Dr. Dustin H. Marks was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, as the oldest of three boys. He then moved to Washington, D.C., to receive his Bachelor of Science in Public Health at The George Washington University, graduating summa cum laude and earning acceptance into Phi Beta Kappa.

He continued his medical education at the same institution, where he was elected president of his medical class for three years. He was later inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.

Following medical school, Dr. Marks returned to Pittsburgh for his medical internship at UPMC and then relocated to the Bay Area for dermatology residency at Stanford University.

Dr. Marks’s interests span medical and cosmetic dermatology. He takes an individualized approach to cosmetic care, helping patients address a wide range of concerns, from skin texture and tone to signs of aging. His focus is on understanding each patient’s goals and developing a personalized treatment plan that enhances their natural features.

His professional interests also include alopecia (hair loss), for which he completed a prestigious hair research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, the largest teaching hospital of Harvard University. Dr. Marks is also passionate about addressing health disparities in the LGBTQ community and previously served as director of the LGBTQ dermatology clinic at Stanford.

Outside of work, Dr. Marks enjoys spending time with his German Shepherd, Archie, cooking, and spending time outdoors, with the appropriate SPF coverage, of course.
