Many skin conditions can affect the genital area, and it is common to feel uncomfortable bringing them up. Dermatologists treat these conditions regularly, and we will make your visit private and respectful.

- Lichen sclerosus and lichen planus
- Genital warts
- Molluscum contagiosum
- Psoriasis, eczema and contact dermatitis in the genital area
- Fungal and yeast infections
- Herpes, see cold sores and shingles
- Bumps, spots and growths that need to be checked
How we treat it
Treatment depends on the cause and may include prescription creams, freezing, minor procedures or oral medicines. A biopsy may be recommended for a spot that does not heal or keeps changing.

Q&A
Can I ask for a provider of a specific gender?
Yes. Tell us when you book, and we will do our best to accommodate you. You can also bring a chaperone or ask for one.
Should I see a dermatologist or my gynecologist or urologist?
Either can be a good start. Dermatologists specialize in skin conditions, including those in the genital area.
