A dermatofibroma is a small, firm bump in the skin, often on the legs or arms. It may be pink, brown or darker than the skin around it, and it dimples inward when pinched. It sometimes forms after a bug bite or small injury.
Dermatofibromas are harmless and do not need treatment, but they can itch, catch on a razor or be unwanted.
Offered at all of our offices.
Usually not, but it typically stays the same size.
Removal leaves a scar that may be more noticeable than the bump. Your provider will help you weigh the options.
