Choosing the best dermatologist in Palm Beach Gardens

The best dermatologist for you is one with the right training, the care you need, your insurance, and times that fit your week. Here is what to look for, and how our Palm Beach Gardens office on Burns Road measures up.

What to look for in a dermatologist

  • Credentials. A board-certified dermatologist, or a nurse practitioner or physician assistant with dermatology training, working with one.
  • The care you need, under one roof. Skin checks, acne, rashes, hair loss, minor surgery and cosmetic care, so you are not sent elsewhere.
  • Insurance that fits. A practice that tells you plainly which plans it takes and what a visit costs if you pay directly.
  • Easy to book. Real-time online booking, a local phone line, and a way to text.
  • A practice with a track record. Years of patients and reviews, not just a new sign.

How Mandel Dermatology in Palm Beach Gardens compares

  • Family-run since 1963. Our Palm Beach Gardens office is our newest, and part of a practice that has cared for patients for more than 60 years.
  • Who you will see. Dr. Mitchell J. Mandel, MD, FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist and our founder, and Christine Sacco, FNP-C, a nurse practitioner with post-master's training in dermatology. You always see who you book with.
  • Medical, surgical and cosmetic care. Skin checks, moles, acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, biopsies, skin cancer removal and cosmetic treatments.
  • Insurance. Medicare, Aetna and Cigna accepted. Have another plan or prefer to pay directly? Self-pay medical visits are $250 for new patients and $150 for returning patients.
  • Reviews. More than 4,600 five-star patient reviews across our six offices.

Do I need a referral to see a dermatologist?

It depends on your plan. Check your insurance card for referral or authorization requirements, or call the number on the back of the card.

How soon can I be seen?

Openings change through the day. Book online to see real-time availability, or call the office.
